Thursday April 3

11:55 a.m.: Fraud – Someone onDodge Valley Road east of La Conner reported a credit card fraud.

1:04 p.m.: Scam – A La Conner resident received a check for $1,800 for a $75 large appliance they were selling on Craig’s List. The “buyer” wanted the seller to ship the appliance to the East Coast. The astute La Conner resident selling the item knew better than to fall for that one.

Friday April 4

2:06 p.m.: Road block – A large semi truck broke down onFir Island Road near the North Fork of theSkagitRiver. A tow was already in route when law enforcement was notified.

Saturday April 5

9:23 p.m.: Suspicious – An employee spotted an unfamiliar vehicle parked in the lot at Conway Feed inConway and reported it. The vehicle turned out to belong to a friend of the property’s owner.

Sunday April 6

7:02 p.m.: Skaters – Kids were reported to be riding skateboards at La Conner Elementary School. They were gone when deputies arrived.

Monday April 7

8:33 a.m.: Theft – Someone swiped a license plate from a vehicle parked across the street from La Conner Town Hall over the weekend.
