Monday April 21

5:56 p.m.: Crunch time – A driver failed to stop for a vehicle waiting to turn offMaple Ave west ontoWashington Street in La Conner.

8:52 p.m.: Dog-gone dispute – A man walking a dog onPark Street in La Conner was approached by another dog accompanied by its owner in front of a home. The dogs didn’t like each other and apparently, the owners didn’t hit it off, either. The property owner wielded a walking stick, saying he believed the dog walker was going after his dog. The dog walker grabbed the walking stick, saying he believed he was being assaulted. The property owner said he let go of the walking stick because he didn’t want to be pulled over, and the dog walker fell to the ground. The dog walker says he was pushed down.

12:04 a.m.:False alarm – At Pioneer Market onMorris Street in La Conner.

Wednesday April 23

10:46 p.m.:False alarm – At Pioneer Market onMorris Street in La Conner.

Friday April 25

11:59 a.m.: Tulip tickets – Tourists can pay up to $71 to park in places marked “No Parking” to get out and walk in the tulip field at McLean and La Conner Whitney roads north of La Conner.

Saturday April 26

12:04 p.m.: Suicide scare – An employer was concerned that an employee who was missing was atDeceptionPassBridge and despondent. Deputies checked the area, but a follow-up investigation led them to believe the missing employee was actually inSnohomishCounty.

1:07 p.m.: Wild ride – Somebody drove off the edge of the steep hill just east of La Conner Town Hall onDouglas Street when they went forward instead of backing out of a parking spot.

8 p.m.: Crunch – A vehicle left overnight near the Conway Pub was found to have been struck by another vehicle.

8:22 p.m.: Lost ring – Someone lost their class ring somewhere in La Conner and would love to have it back. Please call the Sheriff’s Office if you found one.

Sunday April 27

9:58 p.m.: Found wallet – Someone found a wallet in belonging to aSan JuanIsland resident inConway. It was turned over to a Sheriff’s Deputy.
