Monday August 22

11:41 a.m.: No hot dogs – A caller reported dogs left in a hot car on S.First Street, La Conner. There were no dogs or humans in the car when the deputy checked.

12:48 p.m.: Plant advocate? – Somebody was concerned that a crop was not being harvested appropriately nearChannel Drive, north of La Conner.

1:47 p.m.: Got away – Deputies couldn’t locate a black Nissan pickup that was reported to be speeding near the Rexville Grange.

Wednesday August 24

9:37 p.m.: Loud driver – A deputy is following up on a gray car traveling through La Conner with its driver yelling at pedestrians.

Thursday August 25

3:43 a.m.: Alarm – Deputy found no problems at Washington Federal Bank, where an alarm went off.

5:28 p.m.: Hmm... – A gold car was reported to be suspiciously circling the La Conner Retirement Inn.

Friday August 26

10:42 a.m.: Threatening – Deputies helped resolve a workplace altercation at a business onFir Island Road inConway.

3:02 p.m.: Fender bender – Deputies helped drivers exchange insurance info in front of the La Conner Post Office.

4:39 p.m.: Solved! – Another report of a gold car driving in circles around the La Conner Retirement Inn. Deputies contacted a Pokémon-Go player.

Saturday August 27

10:16 a.m.: Scam! – AConway resident received a call from someone claiming to be from Puget Sound Energy and was told to pay up immediately or have his power disconnected. PSE told the deputy they made no such call.

11:35 a.m.: 911 hang-up – Nobody was around the pay phone at the La Conner Marina when the deputy checked.

4:24 p.m.: Lost & Found – A dog went missing from a residence onS. Fourth Street in La Conner. The owner was put in touch with the person who found the dog.

5:21 p.m.: Theft – Equipment was taken from a boat moored along the channel in La Conner nearCaledonia Street.

5:56 p.m.: No skipper! – A boat was traveling the Swinomish Channel in La Conner with nobody aboard. The owner’s friends caught it and wrangled it back for him.

10:08 p.m.: Noise – People who rented the Swinomish Yacht Club generated a noise complaint. Deputy remedied the situation by asking them to shut the doors.

Sunday August 28

2:11 a.m.: Catch & release – A verbal altercation inConway led to someone being arrested on an outstanding warrant. But the jail was full, so the person was booked and released.

12:45 p.m.: Medical aid – A person was taken to a hospital by a family member before first responders arrived at the Conway Pub & Eatery.

6:20 p.m.: Argument – Someone reported a domestic dispute on a dock at La Conner Marina. A deputy determined no crime had been committed.
