Former Swinomish Police Chief Thomas Schlicker was indicted on March 10 by a federal grand jury for felony charges of wire fraud and theft of tribal funds. The indictment, filed in the U.S. District Court Western District of Washington in Seattle alleges that starting in 2008 Schlicker defrauded the tribe for more than $30,000 by depositing tribal money into a secret bank account and claiming reimbursement for personal expenses claiming they were job related.
