La Conner’s Knowledge Bowl team made a name for our small town by winning the state championship — the first Knowledge Bowl team in the school’s history to accomplish such a feat.     Tradition dictated that green be worn, but blue was still the dominant color when La Conner High hosted its first league track meet of the season on St. Patrick’s Day. Blue-clad La Conner teams won both sides of highly competitive NW1B/2B trials, giving head coach Peter Voorhees a distinctly sunny disposition going into the spring campaign.     Hand-lettered plywood signs set up by voters who are against the property tax levy proposed by La Conner Schools disappeared the day after they appeared. Somebody stole all six “Vote No” signs that were set out last Monday.
