Dolores Mae Bratland
Dolores Mae Bratland, 87, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018. Dolores was born on September 30, 1930 to Earl and Mabel Behling. She was raised in Snohomish, WA and graduated from Snohomish High School in 1948. Dolores married the love of her life John on February 27, 1952 and the two were blessed with three children Janice, Karen and Johnny.

Edward M. Musgrove, age 89, passed away on September 12, 2018 of pneumonia at PeaceHealth St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bellingham surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 30, 1929 in Victorville, CA the youngest in a family of 2 girls & 4 boys

Frances "Elaine" Jensen
Frances “Elaine” Jensen, 90, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2018, with family at her side while at Mira Vista Care Center.
Elaine was born at home, at the family farm, on Camano Island to Peter and Johanna (Ledal) Folden, on May 17, 1928. Being a first generation Norwegian American, her birthdate was special. In Norway this date, May 17th, is Norwegian Constitution Day, an official public holiday which began in 1814

TOM MINIFIE
Tom Minifie, age 73, of La Conner, Wash., passed away on Friday, August 17,, 2018, in his hometown of La Conner, surrounded by family and close friends after a five year battle with cancer. He was born October 1, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City. Tom attended college in Ohio before serving in the Peace Corp in the Philippines and attending seminary in Philadelphia. In 1971 Tom was ordained a Priest in the Episcopal Church and served churches in Massachusetts, and Ohio before coming to Washington State where he preached in Ballard, Kirkland and Marysville.

Mark Eisen passed away on July 21, 2018, his 66th birthday, at his home after an extended illness.

JEAN CRAM
Longtime resident of La Conner, Jean Cram, passed away July 16 in Anacortes, WA. She was 97 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Cram.
Jean was born in Everett, Washington on October 11, 1920 to Herb and Nellie Hill. She grew up in Marysville and graduated from Marysville High School. She attended business school in Everett, Washington, and then moved to Mount Vernon where she worked as a bookkeeper for the Carnation Company. She met Sam Cram of La Conner and they were married in 1944. They worked and lived on the family farm in La Conner from then on.

March 31, 1933 – July 16, 2018
Blending her passion for art with a keen sense of business, Janet was best known as the owner of the Huston Gallery in La Conner, Washington. Here, she wisely used her knowledge of the art of the northwest and her creative spirit to produce exhibitions for the regions most celebrated artists. With a Master’s Degree in Painting from the University of Washington, Janet enjoyed creating her own paintings depicting the place she loved most, the Skagit Valley.

Peggy Hart Rush
Peggy Hart Rush passed away at the age of 92 on June 27, 2018. Peggy was born on July 12, 1925 in Beaumont TX. She and her husband Dick were married in 1944. Dick’s job at Boeing took them to Wichita, New Orleans, Huntsville, AL and back to Bellevue WA in 1969. Peggy taught 1st grade on Mercer Island until she retired in 1986, and then moved to La Conner.
