11:53 a.m.: Crunch time – Two vehicles backed out of parking spots at the same time in the Key Bank parking lot onMorris Street in La Conner.

12:19 p.m. Suicide intervention – A despondent man was said to be on his way toDeceptionPassBridge to end it all, but a deputy contacted him and he agreed to postpone his plan.

Wednesday Jan 15

10:21 p.m.: Suspicious – A passer by spotted a person near a closed business in the Rexville area. A deputy responded and didn’t find anyone and the building was secure, but there were fresh bicycle tracks in the lawn.

Thursday Jan 16

4:53 a.m.: Suspicious – A vehicle was seen near a boat under suspicious circumstances near La Conner Marina. Deputies contacted the truck’s owner and found that they had just bought the vessel and were doing some work.

8:45 a.m.: Unattended death – Someone died at home onSouth Second Street in La Conner.

Friday Jan 17

4:16 a.m.: Grumpy morning – A man confronted a delivery truck driver and told him it was too early to make deliveries near the Tillinghast building onMorris Street in La Conner. The early riser then reportedly challenged the driver to a fight, but the driver opted to dial 911 instead. The grump left the area and deputies couldn’t locate him. There had been no noise complaints filed prior to the incident.

6:14 p.m.: Ride, please – A man near the 76 Station inConway asked deputies to take him to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. His request was granted.

Sunday Jan 19

10:14 p.m.: AWOL Horses – Three horses were in the highway nearConwayElementary School. The horses were taken back to their home.
