EGG INSULATION – A roll of toilet paper saved the egg! Frank Scott’s raw brown egg survived a drop from a height of 1½ stories during La Conner Elementary School’s annual egg drop. The event, held in conjunction with the science fair, inspires students to devise ways to keep their eggs from breaking when they’re dropped from the top of the fire escape at the school district auditorium. – Photo by Amylynn Richards
