Saturday April 5

10:28 a.m.: Just checking – A family member wanted deputies to look on someone they thought may have been a domestic violence victim, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner. No assault had taken place.

Monday April 7

12:17 p.m.: 911 hang-up – A 911 call came in fromConwayElementary School, but the staff couldn’t find any problem so deputies didn’t respond.

3:15 p.m.: Tongue lashing – Someone went to the La Conner Sheriff’s station upset at how another person was spending money.

Tuesday April 8

12:51 p.m.: Ancient horses – Somebody called to report that horses looked neglected in a pasture offFir Island Road nearConway. Animal control checked on them and found they were really healthy for their advanced age.

Wednesday April 9

10:55 a.m.: Yeller – Activists from the Lyndon LaRouche PAC set up their provocative displays in front of the Post Office in La Conner, exercising their First Amendment rights. A passerby who disagrees with the LaRouche politics stopped by to exercise their own freedom of speech – loudly.

11:46 a.m.: No driver – A vehicle rolled away from its parking spot at Christianson’s Nursery onBest Road east of La Conner and struck a vendor’s van.

12:39 p.m.: Potty napper – An intoxicated person was snoozing on the floor of the public restroom onMorris Street in La Conner.

Friday April 11

12:21 p.m.: Potty party – A group of people were drinking alcoholic beverages behind the public restrooms onMorris Street in La Conner. Citations for drinking in public were issued.

12:22 p.m.: 911 Hang-up – Someone dialed 911 from the La Conner Schools, but there wasn’t a problem and nobody knows who made the call.

3:11 p.m.: Please check – A family member asked to have a deputy check on a resident onBeaver Marsh Road inMount Vernon because the relative had previous health problems and couldn’t be reached. Deputies went to the house and found that the person had moved and left no forwarding.

3:57 p.m.: Traffic problems – People were illegally parking alongFir Island Road between Conway and La Conner to take tulip pictures. That’s a $30 fine if a wheel is in the road, and $20 if the vehicle is completely off the road.

Saturday April 12

12:10 a.m.: Stolen car – A vehicle stolen fromMount Vernon was found abandoned at the Park and Ride near March’s Point in Anacortes.

11:46 a.m.: Traveling show – The LaRouche activists called to let the Sheriff’s Office know they had moved their shout-baiting display from in front of the La Conner Post Office to in front of Pioneer Market onMorris Street in La Conner. No new yelling was reported.

7:39 p.m.: Tulip ding – A fender bender occurred in the parking lot at theRoozengaardeDisplayGarden east of La Conner.
