4:39 p.m .: Lockout – Deputies helped someone at La Conner High School get the keys that were locked inside their vehicle.
Monday May 5
12:54 p.m .: Crunch time – An inattentive driver ran into the back of another vehicle that was stopped in the construction zone for the roundabout inConway.
Tuesday May 6
11:44 a.m .: AWOL pooch – A local dog was on an unauthorized walkabout and wound up at the espresso stand near the roundabout in La Conner. The barista recognized the dog, which suddenly lost all roaming resolve and hid under a vehicle. The barista was able to locate a phone number to call someone to come and pick up their pet, while a customer and a deputy tried to coax the frightened canine out from under a vehicle.
Wednesday May 7
2:01 p.m .: Noise – Someone called the cops on a resident, 900 blockMaple Ave. in La Conner for playing loud music while doing some cleanup.
Thursday May 8
5:43 p.m .: Stuck boat – A 28-foot boat was stuck in the mud during low tide in the Swinomish Channel south of La Conner.
7:10 p.m .: Lost property – A drill was reported missing from a worksite on 2nd Street in La Conner.
Friday May 9
11:31 a.m .: Medical – Aid was requested for what was dispatched as a medical issue at a residence on South 3rd Street in La Conner.
1:24 p.m .: Trucks – A resident on South 3rd Street in La Conner reported that big trucks were driving across his property. Deputies determined the land was in the town’s right of way.
Saturday May 10
8:42 a.m .: Catch & release – A deputy saw a man he recognized as having an active arrest warrant for driving on a suspended license. The man was arrested near Pioneer Market on Morris street in La Conner, but the jail was too full so he was booked are released.
10:07 a.m .: Court order – A man with a court order to stay away from a woman in La Conner was repeatedly walking in theFirst Street business area where she was. He left before law enforcement was contacted.
12:03 p.m .: Smart move – A guest at a residence on South 4th Street in La Conner wanted to drive home after using marijuana. His friends wouldn’t let him and contacted law enforcement. The high guy eventually agreed to get a ride with one of the friends.
