Sunday May 25
9:11 a.m.: Domestic – Witnesses and deputies heard loud arguing, 900 block Maple Ave. La Conner. The people involved denied that any assault had occurred.
Monday May 26
7:07 p.m.: Dog accident – Someone reported that a dog fell out of a truck onBest Road toward theConway area, but deputies could not locate the animal and there were no other reports of the incident.
Thursday May 29
5:40 p.m.: Never mind – A person called in to report a boating problem on the waterfront nearPioneerPointMarina, but then refused to give any information.
9:15 p.m.: Just checking – Deputies checked on a boat offHopeIsland that had been in the area for several days with no activity. They located the owners and learned everything is fine.
Friday May 30
10:01 a.m.: Catch & Release – Deputies contacted a suspect inConway with a mandatory warrant to serve 25 days for interfering with the reporting of domestic abuse. Again, there was no room at the old gray bar inn, so the fellow was let go until the jail has an opening.
3 p.m.: Hot Dog – A pet owner received counseling after someone reported a dog was left in a car in the area of 2nd and Morris streets in La Conner. Although the window was open a bit and there was water and the dog was unharmed, the deputies felt the day was dangerously warm to leave an animal in a vehicle.
6:31 p.m.: If you say so – An intoxicated fellow was hollering at nobody in particular in the area of First and Morris streets in La Conner.
8:03 p.m.: Theft – Someone stole a statue from the front porch of a home onCaledonia Street in La Conner.
9:55 p.m.: Open door – A door was found open at La Conner marina during a security check. Everything appeared to be OK though.
Saturday May 31
1:22 a.m.: Erratic driving – Someone reported a vehicle having “lane travel issues” on an approach to town. A deputy followed the vehicle for a while and saw no offenses.
1:37 a.m.: Theft – A teen in theConway area had been at a party and discovered that someone had entered his vehicle and took an iPod.
9:52 p.m.: Traffic – A U-Haul truck was blocking traffic atCaledonia St. andMaple Ave. in La Conner. It was gone when the deputy checked.
Sunday June 1
1:33 a.m.: Helping out – A driver ran out of gas onLa Conner Whitney Road on the way into La Conner. A deputy took him to get some gas.
2:51 p.m.: Burglary – Witnesses watched a guy break into the Sons of Norway lodge inConway and leave taking things. Deputies caught him, arrested him and seized his vehicle so a search warrant could be issued on it to retrieve the stolen items.
Monday June 2
12:04 a.m.: Suspicious – Someone reported seeing flashlights around a neighbor’s property in the Rexville area. It turned out to be motion sensor lights that kept going on and off.
