MAX D. ROBISON

Max D. Robison of La Conner died on Saturday, May 31 at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham.

He was born in Sedro-Woolley, WA on June 29, 1934, the son of Max and Charlotte Robison. He grew up in La Conner, attending La Conner schools and graduating from La Conner High School in 1954.

Max married Janet Greenwald in June 1956. They made their home in La Conner, where they raised their family. Max worked over 40 years at Dunlap Towing as a tugboat captain.

He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Max is survived by his children Al and Lisa Robison of Burlington, Rob and Denise Robison of Mount Vernon, Maxine Travenshek of Bellingham; grandchildren, Leo, Jana and Karl Travenshek, Stevie Jo Robison, Kristen Scally, Max and Joseph Robison; great-grandchildren, Natalya, Taya and Rosie Travenshek.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Robison, and son, Joey Robison. There will be a private family burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

To honor his love of parties, a memorial celebration will be held on Max’s 80th birthday, June 29 at 2 p.m. at the Swinomish Yacht Club in La Conner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, 710 2nd Ave., Suite 900, Seattle, WA 98104.
