Tuesday June 3

12:42 a.m .: Boat burglar – Some guy boarded a boat tied to a dock offFirst Street in La Conner. When the person on the boat confronted them, the intruder claimed he was looking for cigarettes. A deputy caught sight of someone near the area, but was unable to contact him.

6:07 p.m .: Alarm – The alarm went off at theSkagitCountyHistoricalMuseum onFourth Street in La Conner. Everything was OK.

10:21 a.m .: Burglary – Possibly related to the earlier boat intruder, a business across the street from the La Conner waterfront discovered that someone had apparently gone in through an open window and out the back door. Nothing immediately appeared to be missing. Days later, that same business was found to have a window broken by a shovel that was left nearby.

Thursday June 5

7:26 p.m .: Drat all – A car was parked blocking a driveway onState Street in La Conner while the owner was attending the nearby high school graduation. The owner was contacted all moved the vehicle.

9:32 p.m .: Baby calls – Someone reported that a car had been parked in a lot onFir Island Road nearConway. A deputy contacted the occupant and found they’d pulled over to take care of a baby.

9:39 p.m .: Theft – A woman reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse during the La Conner High School graduation.

Friday June 6

8:18 a.m .: Stuck car – A driver and passenger were reported to be refusing to get their vehicle out of the construction zone for the roundabout being built inConway. When a deputy arrived, it was learned that someone had helped them obtain fuel and gave them a jump and they were already gone.

11:56 a.m .: Crazy driver – There was a report of someone driving erratically onMaple Ave. in La Conner 20 minutes earlier.

12:58 a.m .: Theft – A resident onNorth First street was missing some jewelry.

5:49 p.m .: More crazy driving – Another vehicle being driven erratically onFir Island Road.

7:13 p.m .: Boat trouble – A stalled vessel stranded near Goat Island inSkagitBay was towed back to dock by another boat.

Saturday June 7

1:55 a.m: Check IDs – Someone at aConway watering hole was caught serving alcohol to a minor.

1:55 a.m .: Check IDs – Ditto at a tavern onMorris Street in La Conner.

4:03 a.m .: Wake up! – A car alarm kept going off at night in the area ofMaple Ave. andCaledonia in La Conner.

12:06 p.m .: Theft – A woman in her 40s took several items from store onSouth First Street in La Conner.

9:27 p.m .: Drunk driver – In response to a report of a possible drunk driver onBest Road nearValentine Road, deputies located the vehicle and watched it drift across the centerline. ACamanoIsland resident was arrested for driving under the influence.

Sunday June 8

2:09 a.m .: Wake up! – That darn car alarm again!

7:25 p.m .: Big ticket – A person was caught driving on a suspended license in La Conner.
