Tasty Tradition

The annual Swinomish Clam Bake at Lone Tree Point last week drew a hungry crowd, as always. Here master shellfish chef and Tribal Senator Chester Cayou, Jr. is shown with a tray full of mussels and clams freshly baked over hot coals in a pit on the beach. Accompaniments included salmon, corn, potatoes and fry bead.
