12:34 p.m.: Busted – A student was caught with drug paraphernalia at La Conner Middle School.
Tuesday Sept 30
2:21 p.m.: Bad truckin’ – The driver of a commercial vehicle was running stop signs while he was being followed by an off-duty deputy. An on-duty deputy stopped him after he blew the stop at 6th and Morris streets in La Conner. The driver got a ticket.
Thursday Oct 2
9:43 a.m.: Never mind – Someone at La Conner Retirement Inn accidently dialed 911.
2:17 p.m.: Not it – A guy had his guitar stolen 10 years ago and thought he saw it listed on line with a company in the La Conner area. Deputies checked it out, but it wasn’t the same guitar.
3:14 p.m.: Not here – Three people had a sign and were panhandling for gas money at 6th and Morris streets in La Conner.
11:18 p.m.: Argument – A family dispute 900 block ofMaple Ave., La Conner was all verbal and one of the parties left. No crime.
Friday Oct 3
10:01 a.m.: Bad driver – A red Ford Ranger was reportedly speeding and tailgating on Best and Chilberg roads east of La Conner. There were no deputies in the area, but the reporting party had a license plate, and a traffic enforcement deputy tried to contact the vehicle owner, an Anacortes person, who was not home.
5:06 p.m.: Speedy spuds – Residents reported speeding potato trucks onChannel Drive north of La Conner.
Saturday Oct 4
8:43 a.m.: Rocky Road – Someone reported a rock in the roadway at the Conway Roundabout. It wasn’t there when the deputy arrived.
11:12 a.m.: Argument – Another verbal family spat, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner.
2:09 p.m.: Sedate spuds – Another report of speeding potato haulers onChannel Drive north of La Conner. A deputy staked it out and caught them on radar. The fastest speed registered was a truck going 20 in a 25 mph zone.
9:19 p.m.: Speedy spuds – Another report of speeding potatoes onChannel Drive north of La Conner. A deputy went out there, but there were no potato haulers on the roads or in the fields at that hour.
Sunday Oct 5
1:01 p.m.: Person down – Turned out to be someone intoxicated near the old Palmer’s Restaurant onSouth First Street in La Conner.
3:48 p.m.: Drunk Driver – Someone reported a drunk driver onLa Conner Whitney Road, but there was no deputy in the area and the license plate number given turned out to be inaccurate.
10:30 p.m.: Argument – Family dispute onTillinghast Dr. in La Conner between a parent and adult offspring, who left.
Monday Oct 6
Midnight: Alarm – An alarm went off at Pioneer Market in La Conner, but everything was secure.
