2:29 p.m.: AWOL dog – A La Conner pooch was on an unauthorized walkabout onChilberg Road east of town when he was turned in to law enforcement. A local business owner recognized the deputy’s furry passenger and provided directions to the dog’s home.
Wednesday Oct 15
Midnight: Never mind – An alarm went off a Pioneer Market in La Conner, but the response was called off because there was no problem.
Thursday Oct 16
11:45 p.m.: Emergency message – Deputies contacted aCaledonia Street resident in La Conner to pass on emergency information concerning a family friend inCalifornia.
Friday Oct 17
3:22 a.m.: Alarm – Glitchy alarm again at Pioneer Market, La Conner.
4:30 a.m.: Not welcome – An occasional house guest left before deputies who were responding to a “removal” call arrived at a La Conner home.
Saturday Oct 18
9:39 a.m.: Young walker – Deputies found a child walking unescorted near the roundabout in La Conner. Parents were at home and unaware that their child was trying to walk to Stanwood.
10:30 a.m.: Traffic – A car was tail-gaiting onMaple Ave. nearCaledonia Street in La Conner. When contacted the driver agreed to pay closer attention.
5:50 p.m.: Car nap – There was report of someone sleeping in a vehicle nearMaple Avenue and Road Street in La Conner, but the vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.
9:17 p.m.: Found wallet – A wallet was found in La Conner and the finder contacted the owner and returned it.
10:58 p.m: Hollering canine – Deputies couldn’t locate the barking dog that was annoying neighbors onCenter Street in La Conner.
Sunday Oct 19
12:41 p.m.: Speedy spuds – There was a complaint of speeding farm vehicles nearChannel Drive north of La Conner. A deputy checked and found the farm traffic obeying the law, but cited several other drivers for speeding in the area.
10:40 p.m.: Noise – Party noise complaint, 900 block Maple Ave., La Conner.
