10:42 a.m.: Animal problem – An animal rescue group called to report information from a former caregiver of a La Conner family’s dogs. The rescue people were advised that the caregiver’s allegations had been repeatedly reported and investigated and were unfounded.
12:01 p.m.: Reckless driving – A caller was behind a vehicle being driven recklessly from Mclean and Best Roads and followed them well into Mount Vernon, where several officers saw the suspect vehicle, but didn’t see any of the reported violations being committed.
Tuesday Nov 11
4:46 a.m.: Alarm – An alarm went off at La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib, but everything was secure.
10:04 a.m.: Alarm – Same place, but this time there were employees present. No problems.
Thursday Nov 13
6:41 p.m.: Suspicious – A resident onState Street in La Conner reported that someone had been looking at their house two hours earlier. When confronted, the suspicious looker left in a vehicle. The reporting party was reminded that calling 911 at the time of the occurrence would allow the deputies to investigate appropriately. With no further suspect description and the time lapse, there was little deputies could do.
Friday Nov 14
12:46 p.m.: Lost wallet – Someone lost a black leather wallet in La Conner. This is not the same one found a few days later.
8:37 p.m.: Mean drunk – An intoxicated man was refused service at Pioneer Market in La Conner so he pulled the automatic sliding front door off its track as he left. Deputies caught up to him and cited him for malicious mischief.
Saturday Nov 15
3:01 a.m.: Alarm – An alarm went off at the Conway Pub, but deputies found everything secure.
9:35 a.m.: Please check – A caller reported that they thought the driver of a car on the side ofPioneer Highway nearConway might have had too much to drink the night before. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
6:29 p.m.: Domestic – Both parties to a dispute, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner, denied that there had been any assault and they were separated by the time deputies arrived.
Sunday Nov 16
12:35 a.m.: Abandoned vehicle – A caller onValentine Road on Pleasant Ridge wanted deputies to remove a vehicle that his daughter left in his yard four years ago. He was advised to have it towed or contact his daughter to have her remove it.
3:09 p.m.: Found wallet – Through the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, deputies managed to get a message to aBritish Columbia man whose wallet was found near Whatcom and Road streets in La Conner. It as discovered he was still in theUnited States shopping at the Burlington Costco, apparently without his wallet.
