Monday Nov 17
7:31 p.m.: Train vs. auto – A vehicle had been reported as being operated by a drunk driver in theStarbird Road area ofConway. A short time later a vehicle matching its description was struck by a train in the Milltown area. The driver was extracted through the sunroof of the vehicle. Washington State Patrol is conducting a DUI investigation while the Sheriff’s Office investigates the collision.
Tuesday Nov 18
3:30 p.m.: Speeding – There was a report of vehicles speeding onFir Island Road inConway, however deputies were unable to locate the suspect vehicles.
Wednesday Nov 19
12:07 p.m.: Roll over crash – A driver was slowing down at the 25 mile per hour zone coming toward the La Conner roundabout onLa Conner Whitney Road. Another driver apparently did not see car slowing down and rear-ended it, causing the slowing driver’s car to be pushed off the road and roll in the nearby field. The good news is that the injuries were considered very minor.
4:55 p.m.: Suspicious noise – Someone at theSkagitCountyHistoricalMuseum heard a noise on the roof. There was a ladder that an employee had left along the building, but deputies didn’t find anything or anyone on the roof.
5:46 p.m.: Dispute – A landlord-tenant issue onSouth Third Street in La Conner. One of the parties left for the night.
Thursday Nov 20
8:25 a.m.: Eye opener – Someone reported that people were drinking in an apartment, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner. Deputies couldn’t locate them.
4:23 p.m.: Alarm – A dead battery cause an alarm to sound at La Conner Pub & Eatery. They fixed it.
Friday Nov 21
6:58 a.m.: Not theft – A property owner on South Third Street in La Conner reported that a former tenant had taken her laptop, but called back to say she had found it in her residence.
11:55 a.m.: Theft – Money and jewelry were reported missing from La Conner Retirement Inn.
Saturday Nov 22
7:40 a.m.: Assault – A person at an RV park in La Conner did not want to press charges and it was determined that the incident was not a domestic violence issue.
12:46 p.m.: Possible DUI – Someone reported a vehicle with an impaired driver in the area of McLean and La Conner Whitney roads. Deputies located the driver, but did not observe any driving violations.
4:22 p.m.: Domestic dispute – Somebody called 911 reporting a domestic dispute, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner but refused to identify themselves. Deputies checked the area and did not locate any problems.
11:45 p.m.: Crunch – A teenage driver hit a mailbox onFir Island Road nearConway.
Sunday Nov 23
1:06 p.m.: Civil – More stuff going on with the landlord-tenant issue onSouth Third Street in La Conner.
