6:52 p.m.: Big ticket – A driver was stopped for speeding onFir Island Road inConway and was found to be driving on a suspended license, as well.
7:28 p.m.: Civil issue – A person “borrowed” a vehicle from a residence on Park Street in La Conner and returned it before deputies designated it stolen.

12:20 a.m.: Animal problem – An unwelcome canine caller “came a courting” onValentine Road on Pleasant Ridge. The visit may have contributed to the death of the homeowner’s dog.
12:52 p.m.: 911 hang up – Someone dialed 911 and hung up at the pay phone near the public restrooms onFirst Street in La Conner. There was nobody there when deputies checked.

12:39 a.m.: Midnight alarm – Everything was OK at Pioneer Market in La Conner.
8:22 a.m.: Info please – A La Conner resident wanted information on family bookkeeping and accounting practices.
11:29 a.m.: Domestic – A verbal altercation occurred, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner. No crime.
1:01 p.m.: Medical – It was reported that a La Conner resident had an adverse reaction to medication.
1:19 p.m.: Oops! – The LaConnerSchool District office didn’t mean to call 911.
Saturday Feb 28
12:51 p.m.: Oh crunch! – A driver at an espresso stand inConway backed over a flower pot. The shop owner obtained insurance information.
3:54 p.m.: Abandoned vehicle – The owner came and picked up a vehicle that was reported abandoned near La Conner Whitney and Flats roads north of La Conner.
Sunday March 1
5:18 a.m.: Alarm – An unsecured interior door at the Conway Post Office caused an alarm to go off.
3:14 p.m.: Move gawkers – A caller asked for more patrols onFir Island Road between Conway and Rexville to keep traffic delays down as people stop to look at the snow geese and swans.
6:52 a.m.: Fender bender – OnSouth First Street in La Conner. Drivers exchanged info with the help of a deputy.
7:56 p.m.: Big trouble – A collision involving a car into a pole onFir Island Road inConway wound up being an investigation for driving under the influence.
7:57 a.m.: Catch & release – Defective equipment led to a traffic stop onMaple Avenue in La Conner, and the driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. He got a big ticket. The passenger was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant, but the jail was full.
8:58 p.m.: Suicide scare – A person called fromDeceptionPassBridge asking for mental health services. Deputies were unable to locate the person.
9:14 p.m.: Domestic – A couple onWashington Ave. in La Conner were involved in a verbal altercation.
Monday March 2
12:57 a.m.: Midnight alarm – Something set off the alarm at Pioneer Market in La Conner. No problems.
