JAMES R. "JIM" CAUDILL

James R. “Jim” Caudill, 76, of Samish Island, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 8 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

Jim had owned and operated a La Conner restaurant, La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib House, for many years. After he retired from the restaurant business, he and his wife and two business partners founded Golden Distillery, producing award-winning spirits on Samish Island.

Jim is survived by his wife Mary Lou Caudill and numerous other family members.

A celebration of his life is set for Saturday, April 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Caudill home, 9875 Seacrest Lane in Bow, WA 98232.
