Monday March 30
10:58 a.m.: Ballistic key – A person onNorth Fourth Street in La Conner thought it worrisome that a neighbor shot out their own car window after being locked out.
11:28 a.m.: Abandoned vehicle – Tenants moved away from an address onCalhoun Road east of La Conner but left a car behind.
7:03 p.m.: Trespassing – Somebody reported that there were trespassers in the old Moore Clark building in La Conner, but deputies couldn’t locate anybody.
11:35 p.m.: Prowler – A resident in the 500 block ofMaple Ave. in La Conner heard noises like someone breaking into their garage. Deputies couldn’t find any evidence of a break in, and suspect it might have been the wind.
Tuesday March 31
11:56 a.m.: Not a fraud – It turned out to be a family member using the debit card belonging to a La Conner resident.
Wednesday April 1
6:27 a.m.: Truck worry – Somebody reported that a truck was being driving in the area of La Conner Marina. It was gone when deputies arrived.
Thursday April 2
10:40 a.m.: Theft – Some jerk stole materials from a home under construction onNorth Third Street in La Conner.
12:51 p.m.: Dog thing – A person called to report that a dog jumped out of the back of a pickup truck out near La Conner Whitney and McLean roads north of La Conner. Then a dog owner called to say he thought someone had taken his dog out of his truck. The canine and human were reunited.
2:33 p.m.: Fowl harassment – A landowner called to report that people were harassing snow geese in a field on private property nearConway. Deputies were tied up in tulip traffic at the time and asked state Fish and Wildlife officers to respond.
5:31 p.m.: Dock nap – Fish and Wildlife officers were worried about a woman lying on the public boat launch offSherman Street in La Conner. Deputies picked her up and gave her a ride home.
Friday April 3
4:42 a.m.: Alarm – An alarm went off at La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib House. No problem.
8:32 a.m.: Car alarm – There was a report of a car alarm going off next to the La Conner Post Office, but it wasn’t going off when deputies checked the area.
3:05 p.m.: Wires down – A garbage truck hit some wires and pulled them partly down onSouth First Street in La Conner, prompting authorities to close the road for about 45 minutes while the lines were repaired.
4:24 p.m.: Found wallet – A person’s wallet was located at a business onSouth First Street in La Conner. It was returned to the owner.
9:57 p.m.: Noise – There was noise complaint, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner. The noisemakers were asked to keep it down.
Saturday April 4
8:21 a.m.: Clumsy rabbit – An alarm was accidently set off atConwayElementary School during Easter Egg Hunt preparations.
Monday April 6
8:49 a.m.: Hit & Run – Deputies believe a westbound driver made no attempt to come out of a curve nearPioneerPark in La Conner and drove straight over a rock wall, park sign and stop sign. Clue: it was likely a truck and left behind a license plate holder that said Bayside Auto. Deputies would really like to speak with the driver.
