Tuesday May 12

4:54 p.m. Assault – There was a report of an issue at Conway Elementary School, but all parties wanted it dealt with by the school without law enforcement involvement.

Monday May 18

11:30 a.m .: Lost cell phone – Never mind. Found it in La Conner.

10:46 p.m .: Bad driving – There was a report that a red vehicle forced another off the road near Snow Goose Farm onFir Island Road. Deputies couldn’t locate the red vehicle.

Tuesday May 19

1:41 p.m .: Oops! – Someone at the La Conner schools didn’t mean to dial 911.

4:58 p.m .: Dumpster crime – It’s essentially stealing dumpster space that someone else paid for when people offload their own junk into a store’s dumpster. Somebody left a big load in the dumpster behind Pioneer Market in La Conner. The suspect was contacted by deputies and advised to go back and get it.

Wednesday May 20

9:02 a.m .: Worried people – A La Conner area person was late for a doctor’s appointment and had not been able to alert anyone before the concern set in and deputies went to check on the person.

7:31 p.m .: Argument – A domestic violence call turned out to be just an argument when a La Conner woman didn’t want her husband to go out for the evening, figuring he was too tired to drive. She had left before the deputies arrived.

Thursday May 21

2:40 p.m .: Needed ride – People near Pioneer Market in La Conner were concerned about a person’s ability to drive due to health issues. Deputies gave the driver a ride home.

Saturday May 23

1:56 p.m .: Fuel spill – A fuel spill at La Conner Marina was turned over the Department of Emergency Management and Department of Ecology to deal with.

5:08 p.m .: Shoulda walked – A La Conner man with a previous conviction for driving under the influence was turning his pickup around near Hotel Planter onSouth First Street in La Conner when witnesses saw him back into a van, denting in the driver’s side doors. Then he drove up the street and parked by a fire hydrant and went into a nearby tavern. He wound up with another DUI arrest.

5:13 p.m .: Theft – Some people attempted a “push-out” theft at Pioneer Market in La Conner by loading up a shopping cart and pushing it out of the store without stopping at the checkout stand. Deputies will be reviewing the store’s security video for possible charges.

6:01 p.m .: Alarm – An alarm went off at La Conner High School because a door was left open. The door was secured and everything was fine.
