9:33 a.m .: Check theft – A check issued by the Town ofLa Conner was never received by the party expecting it, but was found to have been cashed inIowa.
Thursday June 11
12:06 a.m .: Oops! – Someone in La Conner accidently dialed 911 from a phone that had been previously used to report a verbal argument. When deputies arrived, the phone’s owner had just gone to bed.
9:38 a.m .: Sign theft – Somebody stole the warning sign indicating cross traffic on does not stop at the intersection ofMaple Avenue andMorris Street in La Conner. The town’s Public Works crew noticed it before there were any collisions.
12:20 p.m .: Never mind – A person called in about a suspicious vehicle onFlats Road north of La Conner. The person called back advising that the vehicle was actually supposed to be there.
12:22 p.m .: Info please – A caller from the Pleasant Ridge area had questions about a lost vehicle title. The state Department of Licensing can replace lost titles. Every vehicle, even junk cars, need to have a title or certificate.
1:30 p.m .: Loose boat – A vessel came loose from the town docks on the La Conner waterfront but was recaptured.
2:30 p.m .: Bad fall – An intoxicated person had obviously fallen behind the public restrooms onMorris Street in La Conner and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. There are stairs leading up a fairly steep cliff toThird Street in back of those restrooms.
2:31 p.m .: Wrong answer – A La Conner High School student was asked to stop acting up and responded by saying he would hit the teacher and then walked off.
5:15 p.m .: Rude! – A resident on Channel Drive north of La Conner received a call that she knew was a computer scam and when she let the caller know she was on to them, she got an obscene earful.
7:58 p.m .: Burglary – Somebody kicked in the door of a homeFir Island Road near Conway and stole items.
Friday June 12
3:04 a.m .: Medical aid – An intoxicated person fell, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner.
3:31 a.m .: Tree down – There was a tree in the road nearDodgeValley and Chilberg roads. Deputies removed it.
6:40 a.m .: Loose boat – A vessel slipped anchor at the Thousand Trails resort onSnee Oosh Road west of La Conner and the owner was advised to go and get it.
11:58 a.m .: Stray boat – An unattended dingy floated into La Conner Marina.
9:39 p.m .: Threatening – An employee at the Shell Station onLa Conner Whitney Road and Highway 20 said a regular customer was making threats.
11:24 p.m .: Worrisome driving – On Highway 20 near Reservation Road in Anacortes a deputy contacted a driver whose driving ability he had concerns about. He will be submitting a request to the Department of Licensing to re-examine the driver.
Saturday June 13
1:20 p.m .: Disorderly – Somebody pulled off the lattice screen near the public restrooms onMorris Street in La Conner.
8:37 p.m .: Traffic – A caller heard motorcycles speeding up and down the road all day in the Pleasant Ridge area, but didn’t catch a glimpse of them.
