Monday July 6

1:43 p.m.: Suspicious – Somebody on a bicycle was seen in the Rexville area and the reporting party thought a business might be being “cased.”

Tuesday July 7

11:47 a.m.: Fraud – Someone in La Conner was reporting incidents of fraud that occurred inMount Vernon andOakHarbor.

10:10 p.m.: Trespassing – A boat owner trying to access their vessel in a secure area aroused suspicion at the La Conner Marina.

Wednesday July 8

2:49 p.m.: Parking Miscommunication – A guest at the La Conner Marina parked in the wrong spot and subsequently had their car classified as an abandoned vehicle.

3:14 p.m.: Swerving Vehicle – A concerned caller at the roundabout onMorris Street in La Conner reported a vehicle piloted by an elderly driver swerving out of its lane. A follow up investigation by a nearby deputy revealed no such swerving.

Friday July 10

8:32 p.m.: Drenched Dog – A dog was fished out of the channel near thePioneerPointMarina onSherman Street in La Conner. It was not injured. The owner is currently unknown, and a found add for the dog, a black Lab, can be found in the classifieds in this paper.

Saturday July 11

4:05 a.m.: Early Morning Rabble-Rousers – One or more suspicious persons parked in a neighbor’s driveway on Channel Drive north of La Conner decided to ring the caller’s doorbell, before leaving.

7:47 p.m.: Camper – A construction worker was found dozing near the worksite at La Conner School District.

Sunday July 12

4:07 p.m.: Vehicle Fire – A travel trailer ignited onBest Road near Rexville. Attempts to unhitch the trailer were impeded by an injury that occurred when the occupants attempted to determine the source of the spontaneous fire. Both the trailer and the vehicle were damaged in the ensuing blaze, and the road was closed for some time.

5:55 p.m.: Burglary – A resident returned to their home on Channel Lane north of La Conner to find a window broken and a television stolen.

8:29 p.m.: Spat – A heated verbal argument at a residence onMaple Avenue in La Conner ended when one side exited the premises.

Monday July 13

9:40 a.m.: Suspicious Tahoe – A mysterious gray Tahoe spent several of the wee hours of the morning parked at a house on Dodge Valley Road east of La Conner, before leaving. While no crime has been determined, it’s always important to keep an eye out for neighbors by reporting suspicious activity.
