Monday, Aug 17

1:03 p.m.: Hit and Stay – A box van ran into two vehicles while trying to make a turn on the corner of Morris and 2nd streets in La Conner. The driver stayed and waited for police.

1:06 p.m.: Not a Bed – A sleeping intoxicated person was asked to move along from 1st Street in La Conner.

6:07 p.m.: Stolen Bike – A Black Haro BMX Bike was stolen from a residence on 3rd Street in La Conner. It’s worth around $750.

Wednesday, Aug 19

3:36 p.m.: Shoplifting – Employees at the La Conner Drugstore caught a customer shoplifting around $20 worth of goods.

Thursday, Aug 20

3:06 p.m.: Please check – A guardian was concerned someone was violating a court order protecting a vulnerable adult onDry Slough Road inConway.

Friday, Aug 21

9:01 a.m.: Nothing to say – A non-customer lingering on a picnic bench at the Coffee Shack inConway was approached by law enforcement. She refused to speak, and went on her way.

1:37 p.m.: Vehicle beef – A report of a suspicious vehicle nearDodge Valley Road on Pleasant Ridge turned out to be an outfit selling beef.

5:48 p.m.: Grounded – A sailboat and was waiting out the low tide so it could float on its way when the tide came in.

Saturday Aug 22

12:09 a.m.: Noise – A motor home parked near 3rd andCaledonia streets in La Conner had its noisy generator running at midnight. Deputies contacted the occupants and informed them there was no overnight camping allowed there.

6 a.m.: Oops! – An employee accidently set off an alarm at a business near the La Conner Marina.

8:15 a.m.: Mail crime – Somebody vandalized post office boxes at La Conner Post Office by removing the glass fronts.

11 a.m.: Motorcycle accident – A motorcyclist miscalculated a curve in the road and ran into the guardrail at the south end of the North Fork Bridge over the Skagit River on Fir Island. The operator got a ride to the hospital.

5:42 p.m.: Public napping – An intoxicated person was sleeping in the area ofWashington Avenue andWhatcom Street in La Conner.

8:17 p.m.: Water menace – A fellow who had previously caused problems at La Conner Marina was reported to law enforcement. He paddled away before deputies could contact him.
