7:38 p.m.: Crunch time – A 39-year-oldOakHarbor man was traveling west onFir Island Road nearConway when he drove across the center line, causing a collision with a vehicle driven by a 54-year-oldBellevue man. Nobody was hurt, but there was property damage.
7:52 p.m.: Bad eyesight – Someone called in to report a car that slid off the road nearMcLean and Best roads. When the deputy arrived, he found it was a vehicle that was just parked at the roadside.
Tuesday Feb 16
3:59 a.m.: Waking neighbors – There were people in a black SUV playing loud music and slamming doors in the middle of the night, 900 blockMaple Ave. in La Conner. The suspect SUV was gone and all was quiet when the deputy arrived.
8:48 p.m.: Big Ticket – Swinomish Police stopped a 20-year-old man who was driving on a suspended license onMaple Ave., in La Conner. He was cited.
9:43 p.m.: Changed mind – A resident ofDodge Valley Road east of La Conner called 911 wanting to talk to a deputy about a manic episode he was having. When the deputies arrived, he didn’t want to talk anymore.
Wednesday Feb 17
7:43 p.m.: Stranger danger – A 15-year-old girl walking home in the dark from the area ofPioneerPark in La Conner called for a ride from law enforcement because she felt threatened by someone who drove by her.
Thursday Feb 18
7:46 a.m.: Alarm – The alarm went off at the Conway Pub, but everything was in order when the deputy checked.
8:51 a.m.: Found purse – A purse belonging to a 21-year-old woman from out of the area was found in La Conner. The Sheriff’s Office called and left her a message to come back and get it.
11:05 a.m.: ET call home – A man from out of the area said he couldn’t reach his 83-year-old mother who lives in La Conner. Deputies went by the mom’sMaple Ave. home to check on her and she was fine. They advised her to call her son.
2:39 p.m.: Shoplifting – There was report of a 48-year-old woman shoplifting at Pioneer Market. The investigation continues.
Friday Feb 19
3:07 p.m.: Losing hope – A 55-year-old man called 911 to say he was atDeceptionPassBridge and was feeling suicidal. Washington State Park Rangers contacted him.
3:22 p.m.: Oops! – An alarm accidentally went off La Conner Town Hall. They shut it off before deputies were dispatched.
Saturday Feb 20
5:30 p.m.: Stand by – There was a request for help with an intoxicated person, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner. It was a medical aid handled by the fire department before deputies arrived.
8:04 p.m.: Arrest – Deputies arrested a 50-year-old man near Pioneer Market in La Conner for outstanding arrest warrants. He was booked into Skagit County Jail.
Sunday Feb 21
12:30 a.m.: Late night argument – Deputies were called for a verbal dispute between a 36-year old woman and her 35-year-old male roommate, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner.
