12:56 p.m .: Check up – Someone reported a dog locked in a vehicle at Pioneer Market in La Conner. An animal control officer responded and determined that the dog was safe, windows were down, the temperatures were down and the vehicle was parked in the shade.
Tuesday April 5
9:17 a.m .: No free speech – Five “Vote No La Conner School Levy” signs were knocked over and six were stolen onMaple Avenue in La Conner.
10:37 a.m .: Removal – A 64-year-old female called to have a guest removed from her residence at the 900 block of Maple Avenue in La Conner. The guest left before deputies arrived.
1:49 p.m .: Drunk Driver? – Someone reported a possible drunk driver onMcLean Road north of La Conner. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.
3:48 p.m .: Good Samaritan – Someone found a purse onMorris Street in La Conner. The purse was returned to its owner who lived in Swinomish.
Wednesday April 6
12:07 p.m .: Assault – Someone called to report possible child abuse on a juvenile at La Conner High School. Case was turned over to an investigator, and charges will be made.
3:53 p.m .: Theft – A 26-year-old man was caught shop lifting a Red Bull from Pioneer Market in La Conner. He was cited for theft.
Thursday April 7
1:41 a.m .: BE QUIET! – Someone reported loud vehicles and people talking near the Post Office onFirst Street in La Conner. They were gone prior to deputies’ arrival.
8:38 a.m .: Fraud – AConway resident reported theft and forgery of a personal check by a former house guest.
Friday April 8
9:00 a.m .: Civil standby – Deputies stood by to ensure safety as a former resident removed their belongings and clothes out of a residence onValentine Road on Pleasant Ridge.
11:40 a.m .: A little late – Someone called to report that they lost their phone in La Conner sometime in March.
11:44 a.m .: Fender bender – There was a motor vehicle accident nearRoozenGaardeDisplayGardens.
5:14 p.m .: Getting help – A 46-year-old-man inConway called to ask for a ride to the hospital to detox.
6:17 p.m .: Big Ticket – Someone had their vehicle parked onFirst Street in La Conner, and someone else ran into it with their vehicle and left without leaving information. A bystander saw this happen and wrote down the information of the assaulting vehicle. The information was handed over to deputies, and the offender was contacted and cited for hit-and-run.
Saturday April 9
9:28 a.m .: Not camping – A caller reported that someone set up a tent inGilkey Square in La Conner. It turned out it was set up for the parade happening later that day. They had the permits and were all fine.
3:38 p.m .: Lost backpack – Someone reported his backpack to be missing somewhere onDouglas Street in La Conner. Deputies located it and returned it.
3:39 p.m .: No pants!? – Someone said a man driving a van inConway didn’t have any pants on. Deputies could not locate the van.
6: 29 p.m .: Harassment – A 49-year-old man was reported to be harassing customers at the La Conner Kayak tours shack. The man left before deputy arrival.
10:43 p.m .: Love stab – A 23-year-old woman stabbed her 28-year-old boyfriend inConway. The case is under investigation.
Sunday April 10
8:55 a.m .: No free speech – More “Vote No La Conner School Levy” signs were stolen onMaple Avenue in La Conner.
3:28 p.m .: False Alarm – False alarm at the Conway Post Office.
