10:24 a.m.: Missing something? – A tourist called to report losing his passport somewhere on the waterfront board walk in La Conner.
6:42 p.m.: Suspicious vehicle – There was a report of a suspicious vehicle onDodge Valley Road east of La Conner. The caller thought it looked like someone was stealing mail. When deputies stopped the vehicle, the driver turned out to be an elderly woman who was lost.
8:49 p.m.: Pooch walkabout – A black and grey German shepherd mix dog was found onS. Fourth Street in La Conner. The dog’s owner was contacted and she is now home safe and sound.
Tuesday April 19
10:17 a.m.: Car vs. pole – An elderly woman drove off the road and hit a power pole near the intersection ofLaurel Street andMaple Avenue in La Conner. The car was totaled. The driver was the only one in the vehicle and was unharmed. The pole was replaced later that day.
7:10 p.m.: Assistance – Swinomish Tribal Police requested assistance on a person who was fleeing from them during a hostage situation atShelter Bay Drive. They cancelled the call and had the situation under control before deputies arrived.
Thursday April 21
1:29 a.m.: Nothing here… – Someone called and complained about a loud party going on next door, 900 block onMaple Avenue in La Conner. When deputies arrived, all was quiet. The resident of the allegedly noisy apartment said she had been sleeping all night.
Friday April 22
6:23 a.m.: Early happy hour – A 34-year-old intoxicated man asked to be transported to the hospital fromWashington Avenue in La Conner.
5:58 p.m.: It’s not fake! – The Waterfront Café in La Conner thought they’d taken in a counterfeit $100 bill. The funny looking bill turned out to be real.
Saturday April 23
4:28 p.m.: Uh-oh – A 24-year-old man was arrested on two outstanding warrants onMaple Avenue in La Conner.
4:42 p.m.: Hang up – A 911 hang-up at the pay phone near the public restrooms on S.First Street in La Conner. No one was there upon deputies’ arrival.
9:39 p.m.: Partied out – An intoxicated woman onFir Island Road refused to ride home with her husband because they’d been arguing. There was no assault or crime committed. A deputy gave her a ride to Stanwood since she wouldn’t ride with her husband.
