7:43 p.m .: Cart theft – A turquoise colored Bombardier brand golf cart and trailer were taken from a business at La Conner Whitney and McLean roads north of La Conner during the previous weekend.
Tuesday May 10
8:30 a.m. Suspicious – A La Conner Schools crossing guard reported a suspicious person hanging around Sixth and Morris streets. It turned out to be a 65-year-old homeless person, who was transported toMount Vernon.
2:52 p.m .: Bad parking – A motorcycle parked improperly near La Conner Brewery. It was gone when the deputy arrived.
Thursday May 12
10:03 a.m .: Bad move – A truck was backed into while parked in a driveway at a home in La Conner. The suspect left without mentioning the damage to the truck owner.
5:21 p.m .: Wi-Fi pirate – Someone was in the parking lot at Washington Federal Bank in La Conner to get free internet.
Friday May 13
11:18 a.m .: Unfounded – Deputies investigated a report of possible elder abuse at La Conner Retirement Inn that turned out to be completely unfounded; it came from a resident who is suffering from dementia.
11:44 a.m .: Oops! – A driver reported that they had struck the mirror of a vehicle parked along narrow First Street in La Conner, but when they went back to contact the owner of the other vehicle, they had left.
9:04 p.m .: Not exactly theft – A reported theft at the Shell Station on Hwy. 20 north of La Conner turned out to be a civil dispute between friends. One guy was left at the gas station, while his friend took off with his clothes.
Sunday May 15
5:32 a.m .: Open door – An open door was discovered at a residence on S. Second Street in La Conner, but it did not appear anything was missing, and deputies could not determine whether entry was gained.
2:31 p.m .: Fender bender – Someone backed into another vehicle onMorris Street near the La Conner Library Thrift Shop. The drivers exchanged information.
7:12 p.m .: False alarm – An alarm went off at La Conner High School. Building was secure.
7:23 p.m .: Rowdy resident – A woman with dementia was being disorderly at La Conner Retirement Inn, and deputies were not successful in convincing her to return to her room. About 40 minutes later, La Conner Fire Department medical aid responders were able to convince her to return to her room.
8:19 p.m .: Questions – A 59-year-old La Conner man had questions about the process to evict his adult daughter.
10:25 p.m .: Malicious mischief – Someone called to report that a suspect he knows broke the headlights out of his car at La Conner Marina.
10:49 p.m .: Argument – The 59-year-old La Conner man and his adult daughter got into a verbal dispute. There was no crime.
11:40 p.m .: Sidewalk camping – A man was sleeping on the pathway at the Seaport Landing building onFirst Street in La Conner. Deputy had him move along.
