1:49 p.m.: Dirty texting – A La Conner resident reported receiving text messages requesting prostitution.

11:05 p.m.: Terrifying teens – A person onNorth Sixth Street in La Conner said two young men threw something at his house. There was no damage and police were unable to locate the teens.

Wednesday June 29

11:49 a.m.: Charge fraud – Unauthorized purchases were discovered on a person’s credit card. The report was made from the La Conner Marina.

2:37 p.m.: Suicide Scare – A man’s Facebook post saying he was going to seeDeceptionPass “for one last time” worried his mother. Police checked the bridge for the man and didn’t find him—they believe he might be inSeattle now.

3:23 p.m.: Unsigned Check – La Conner Pub & Eatery onFirst Street reported that a regular customer forgot to sign her check. The business is attempting to contact the customer.

Thursday June 30

11:06 a.m.: Flaky Friend – An unhappy person onCenter Street in La Conner reported that their friend was not returning a car after borrowing it. Police contacted the friend and informed her she could be charged with theft if she didn’t give the car back.

11:12 a.m.: Harassment – Someone in La Conner reported that a person may have violated their anti-harassment court order.

12:03 p.m.: Stinky house – The smell of garbage was reported coming from a vacant house onCaledonia Street in La Conner. The matter was referred to the town government for action.

1:41 p.m.: Tippy load – A vehicle headed to La Conner across theRainbowBridge was reported to have an unsecured load.

Sunday July 3

12:37 a.m.: Roommate problems – Two arguing roommates at a house alongFir Island Road inConway were both gone by the time police arrived.

12:45 a.m.: Pole crash – A car ran off the road into a power pole alongFir Island Road inConway. Nobody was hurt.

5:14 p.m.: Road mattress– A mattress was in the road atMaple Ave. andCaledonia Street in La Conner. It was gone by the time the deputy arrived.
