10:33 a.m.: Child care – A woman onPearle Jensen Way, La Conner called about child custody issues with the father of her children. The children were confirmed to be inWhatcomCounty, and a 35-year-old man was contacted and arrested for an unrelated felony warrant.

Tuesday August 16

11:21 a.m.: Lost wallet – A caller lost his wallet while on the dog beach north ofPearle Jensen Way, La Conner.

3:34 p.m.: Oops! – Someone accidentally dialed 911 when trying to reach an outside line from the La Conner Retirement Inn onFirst Street.

5:06 p.m.:Locked in – A 3-year-old girl was accidently locked inside a car on Morris and First streets, La Conner. A private locksmith was recruited to help.

7:23 p.m.: Stay home – A 64-year-old woman living in a trailer at the parking lot of La Conner Marina called deputies because she was worried that she’d be towed away.

10:37 p.m.:Off meds – People onFourth Street, La Conner reported that their son’s medication was off, and he was acting out. The son eventually calmed down, and the pair is working with a doctor to correct the problem.

Wednesday August 17

10:51 a.m.: Lost wallet – A man lost his wallet somewhere onFirst Street in La Conner.

Thursday August 18

8:47 a.m.: Gas thief – A gas bandit was interrupted while siphoning diesel fuel from a person’s semi-truck at Conway Feed onMain Street. The suspect left in a newer, whiteToyota pickup truck with about 30 gallons of stolen fuel.

9:41 p.m.: Police escort – A drunken 58-year-old man was given a ride home fromMorris Street, La Conner.

11:50 p.m.: Taxi dash – Deputies responded after a 29-year-old man did not pay his taxi fare at the old veterinary office onMorris Street, La Conner.

Friday August 19

8:12 p.m.: Hot dogs – Deputies checked on two dogs locked inside a car onFirst Street, La Conner. The deputy found the dogs to be fine.

Saturday August 20

4:40 a.m.: Apple nuts – A caller reported that kids were throwing apples at houses aroundWhatcom Street, La Conner. Deputies were unable to locate the apple tossers.

5:12 a.m.: Death – A 37-year-old woman died, 900 blockMaple Avenue, La Conner.

6:27 a.m.: Bad customer – A 64-year-old transient man, who was causing problems at the gas station onCedardale Road,Conway, was given a ride to Stanwood.

7:25 a.m.: Arrest – A 64-year-old woman was arrested on outstanding warrants by a deputy, who was responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind the gas station onCedardale Road inConway.

12:31 p.m.: Creepy bone – A crabber in La Conner called police after he found a suspicious bone in his crab pot. It didn’t turn out to be a human bone.

6:43 p.m.: Text alert – A man onThird Street, La Conner wanted help getting his ex-girlfriend to quit texting him. She agreed to stop when a deputy contacted her.

6:53 p.m.: Loud party – A caller reported that people renting the Swinomish Yacht Club on N.First Street were having a loud party. Deputies asked them to turn down the music.

6:54 p.m.: Door unlocked – Deputies investigated a report of an unlocked door at the Conway Post Office. They found that the interior doors were locked, and the exterior door was unlocked on purpose to allow access to the mailboxes.

11:26 p.m.: Party’s over – Security shut down the loud party by people who rented the Swinomish Yacht Club on N.First Street, La Conner.

Sunday August 21

8:55 a.m.: Skiff drift – A small boat was found drifting down theSkagitRiver near theNorth ForkBridge nearBest Road east of La Conner. Deputies contacted the owner and retrieved the skiff.

Monday August 22

4:18 a.m.: Arrested – A 33-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant onWashington Avenue, La Conner.
