Dan Stokely of La Conner died on Saturday, October 15, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on March 3, 1953.
He came to Skagit Valley at the age of 16 and discovered Fishtown. He was a well known in the local fishing industry. He is survived by three brothers Steve, David and Tony, his three sisters Diana, Laurie and Rosemary, and his mother Mary Ann and his life partners, Jackie from New Zealand and Mary. Dan was a skilled seaman and a storm warrior, an accomplished musician, and a loyal wonderful friend to all who knew him.
A casual gathering, a potluck dinner, to celebrate Dan’s life is planned for 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 at Tom and Christine Skinner’s home, 14118 McTaggart Ave., in Edison.
