2:24 p.m.: Info, please – Request for information concerning an eviction process onValentine Road in the Pleasant Ridge area.

Tuesday Nov 22

5:11 p.m.: Opps! – A backing accident that occurred on private property near the Post Office inConway. Driver information was exchanged.

Wednesday Nov 23

1:32 p.m.: Gross! – Someone reported used hypodermic needles laying in the 76 gas station parking lot inConway. Deputies collected the needles and disposed of them.

2:19 p.m.: Check in – A report of a possible DUI driver that pulled into the Shell gas station onLa Conner Whitney Road. The vehicle was gone upon deputies’ arrival.

8:59 p.m.: Check in – A report of another possible DUI driver onMaple Avenue in La Conner. Deputies contacted the driver at their apartment. It turns out driver was distracted due to some personal reasons.

Thursday Nov 24

8:12 p.m.: No phone – There was a civil issue concerning a cell phone between two roommates inConway.

Friday Nov 25

3:34 a.m.: Salty – A boat went adrift and banged into a boat moored on the La Conner waterfront. There was little damage to the boat that got hit. The runaway boat’s owner was contacted and the vessel was secured.

5:10 p.m.: Hit and run – Someone reported that their vehicle was struck sometime during the night in a parking lot on La Conner’sFirst Street. There are no suspects.

Saturday Nov 26

12:41 a.m.: Hmm? – Someone reported their vehicle had been stolen while parked near the Conway Pub. The “stolen” vehicle was found abandoned miles away onBow Bill Road. The reporting party was not with the vehicle, and did not answer phone calls when deputies attempted to make contact. It appears the car theft report was unfounded...

3:01 p.m.: Arrest – A 65-year-old man was arrested for violation of a no contact order onSixth Street in La Conner.

4:05 p.m.: Info, please – Someone inConway wanted to know the laws concerning shooting firearms in the county.

Sunday Nov 27

11:47 a.m.: Tree dilemma – Deputies removed a small tree that was across the roadway onDodge Valley Road east of La Conner.

6:41 p.m.: 911 hang-up – Deputies contacted a man who was outside of the La Conner Fire Station and used the outdoor 911 emergency phone. The man said he was cold and just wanted to go inside to warm up. He refused any assistance from the deputy and walked away.

Tuesday Nov 22

1:19 p.m.: Rude dog – A report of a possible dangerous dog inSwinomishVillage. The Code Enforcement Officer left information for the owner of the dog concerning the laws on dangerous dogs.

4:23 p.m.: Dead dumper – A dump truck broke down on the west side of the Rainbow Bridge, snarling traffic in La Conner. Swinomish Police Officers conducted traffic control until a large tow truck could arrive and clear the vehicle from the roadway.

Thursday Nov 24

5:03 a.m.: Big trouble – A traffic stop onPadilla Heights Road in Anacortes ended up with the driver showing signs of intoxication and was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court. A voluntary search of the vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia, as well as methamphetamine and muscle relaxants. The driver was placed under arrest, and new charges are now pending.

Friday Nov 25

10:36 a.m.: Electric tree – A tree was leaning into power lines onSnee Oosh Road nearMill Road. The responding officer assured that proper signage was placed, and he reported the pole number to Puget Sound Energy. A crew from the utility company crew came out and cleared the tree from the wires.

Saturday Nov 26

8:59 a.m.: Surrendered – Two people walked into the Swinomish Police Department to turn themselves in on their misdemeanor warrants. They could not be booked into jail due to overcrowding, so they were given new court dates and released.

2:27 p.m.: You pay! – A man called to report that he had been assaulted at the Swinomish Chevron gas station off of Highway 20. He told officers that he had been traveling with an acquaintance toSeattle, and they had an argument over who would pay for the gas. The acquaintance had pushed the man several times then took off in the truck they had been riding in together, leaving the man stranded. The stranded man told officers he had a plane to catch in Seattle. Officers were able to arrange a ride to the airport, so he did not miss his flight back home. The assault is still under investigation.
