Monday Dec 12
7:07 p.m.: Arrest – A 62-year-old man was harassing workers at the Conway Pub and Eatery, when asked to leave for using foul language and being disruptive. Deputies contacted the man and arrested him for assault.
11:11 p.m.: Monday thing – A verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend onMaple Avenue in La Conner. Both parties agreed to return home. No problems.
Wednesday Dec 14
11:04 a.m.: Lunch raid – A 30-year-old man was arrested for stealing three milk crates from outside of the Shell Station on La Conner Whitney road. The milk crate man was accompanied by a sandwich bandit — the 24-year-old woman who was arrested for stealing a sandwich from inside the store, and who also had outstanding arrest warrants.
4:53 p.m.: Forgot something! – A 1-year-old boy was left outside Pioneer Market in La Conner by his parents after they were in an argument. He was buckled in his infant car seat, which was found on the ground in the parking lot. The store manager brought the child into the store to keep him warm and called 911. CPS was contacted and took the boy and his twin sister into protective custody, after the father returned to the store with the sister looking for the child he had left behind.
Friday Dec 16
11:30 a.m.: Getting trolled – Someone in the La Conner area wanted information on dealing with online harassments.
5:50 p.m.: Medical – There was a call about what started as a verbal argument between a couple inConway, but it turned out the 72-year-old man was suffering from medical issues and was taken to the hospital.
Saturday Dec 17
10:36 a.m.: Adios! – A reported burglary at a bakery onFirst Street in La Conner was actually a dispute between a renter who was being evicted by the property owner. When the renter didn’t move, the property owners started moving the renter’s stuff out of the building. The ex-renter claimed burglary and called 911.
4:59 p.m.: Doggone – Patrons at a pub and eatery on S.First Street in La Conner were upset with a woman they believed was not taking proper care of her dog. The dog owner called 911 to report the harassment. When deputies arrived, all the people involved in the incident were gone and the woman who called would not answer her phone to give further information.
10:59 p.m.: Party hardy – A wedding reception on N.First Street, La Conner prompted a noise complaint. The group was contacted and turned the music down.
Sunday Dec 20
2:29 a.m.: Teen ninjas? – Several juveniles dressed in all black clothing were reported running downMorris Street andMaple Avenue, La Conner. The deputy arrived and could not locate the youth.
9:42 p.m.: False alarm – An alarm went off at a business onPearle Jensen Way in La Conner. The deputy checked the building and found no problems.
Monday Dec 19
8:16 a.m.: Another alarm – Alarm went off at the Conway Post Office onMain Street. The deputy who responded found that the building was secure.

Thursday Dec 15
6:27 a.m. Arrest – A Swinomish Officer recognized a 26-year-old woman seated in a vehicle near the Northern Lights Chevron Station off Highway 20. A records check confirmed that the woman had a warrant out for her arrest for theft. The officer contacted the occupants of the car and confirmed the identity of the woman, then placed her under arrest. She was transported to the Swinomish Police Station and issued a new court date due to overcrowding at theSkagitCounty jail.
7:24 a.m.: Helping hand – A Swinomish officer responded to the Northern Lights Chevron and unlocked a car for a person who had accidently locked their keys inside.
Sunday Dec 18
6:12 a.m.: Morning tragedy: Swinomish Officers were advised of a single-car motor vehicle accident east of the Twin Bridges about a mile west ofLaConner Whitney Road on Highway 20.
Arriving officers found that a pickup truck had left the roadway and flipped upside down into the ditch along the northern side of the highway.
Realizing that the vehicle was likely occupied, officers immediately began trying to get into the partially submerged, upside down vehicle.
Once fire units arrived on scene, there was enough manpower to right the vehicle, revealing that the only occupant of the vehicle, a 52-year-old woman fromBellingham, was deceased.
The Washington State Patrol took over the scene and completed an accident investigation.
Driving conditions at the time were extremely slick, with ice and snow present.
