Monday Jan 23

10:57 a.m.: Arrests – Swinomish Tribal Officers went to a residence on Solahdwh Lane after receiving information that there might be subjects there with warrants for their arrest. They were able to contact two adult women at the residence, both of whom had confirmed warrants and were taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that court orders prohibited both women from being at the residence. They were each booked into jail based upon their warrants and each was issued a citation for the new charge of Violation of a Court Order.

Wednesday Jan 25

1:02 a.m.:Helping everyone – ATribal Officer noticed a woman examining the front end of her vehicle in the parking lot of the Casino. He contacted her to see if she was having car trouble, and she told him that her front tire had been wobbling and she was not sure if something was wrong.

A routine records check revealed that the woman had a felony warrant out for her arrest for not appearing in court reference a prior drug charge.

The officer checked with the jail and was advised that they could not accept her due to overcrowding.

He advised her that she needed to contact the court as soon as possible to take care of her warrant and then released her.

He also gave her directions and made sure that her vehicle was safe for the roadway.

Thursday Jan 26

10:33 p.m.: Arrest – While on patrol a Tribal Officer noted a truck parked in a dark, out-of-the-way gravel area alongMarches Point Road at about 10:30 p.m. He investigated and found a man and a woman in the vehicle, both of whom claimed that they had stopped there to set up a new phone. Further investigation revealed that the 30-year-old Mount Vernon woman had warrants out for her arrest. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Police Station.

Monday Jan 23

2:29 p.m.: Be gone – The property owner had questions about evicting a tenant onRainier Street, La Conner.

4:20 p.m.: Schooled – A 37-year-old man reported that he was being harassed at La Conner Middle School by a 61-year-old man about an incident from years ago. Nobody was charged with a crime.

8:12 p.m.: Door ajar– Deputies checked after an open door was reported at Ruby Sues Tea & Treasures shop onMorris Street. The owner was painting inside.

Tuesday Jan 24

10:35 a.m.: Knife scare– A seventh-grade student brought a pocket knife to school at La Conner Middle School, which handled the incident.

2:30 p.m.: Bad neighbor – A mother was upset that a neighbor confronted her 12-year-old son about their lease instead of her onThird Street, La Conner. No one was charged with a crime.

3:27 p.m.: Please leave – Deputies responded after a tenant refused to leave the property onRainier Street, La Conner. The tenant left before the deputy arrived.

Wednesday Jan 25

8:53 a.m.: Disagreement – A mother and adult daughter were arguing onTillinghast Street, La Conner. The mother did not want deputies to respond.

3:21 p.m.: Adiós – Deputies received another call about evicting a tenant from a property onRainier Street, La Conner.

Friday Jan 27

10:10 a.m.: Lost dog – A small dog was found in town and was reported from Pioneer Market onMorris Street, La Conner.

11:02 a.m.: Car crash – A car accident occurred on Highway 20, at Whitney and Young roads, La Conner. Washington State Patrol responded.

1:47 p.m.: Argument – Neigh-bors were arguing at Moore and Conway roads, La Conner. No one was charged with a crime.

Saturday Jan 28

10:50 p.m.: Textual harass-ment – A person onMaple Avenue, La Conner reported that a court order was violated by someone sending a text message.

Sunday Jan 29

5:43 p.m.: Bad driver – A caller reported a car driving erratically at Whatcom and Douglas streets, La Conner. The car was found parked atMaple Avenue and the driver could not be located.
