Monday Feb 6

10:39 a.m.: False alarm – Deputies received a 911 hang-up call from a building on Morris Street, La Conner. No problems found.

3:50 p.m.: Dog-napping – A small dog was reportedly taken from a vehicle parked at La Conner’s Pioneer Market. The dog was later found walking down the street.

Wednesday Feb 8

12:04 p.m.: Shoplifting – A 26-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting makeup at the Pioneer Market in La Conner.

4:54 p.m.: Worried – A caller was concerned his house, which was for sale, had an intruder. Deputies checked and saw no sign of anyone inside the residence onPearle Jensen Way, La Conner.

5:20 p.m.: Suicide threat – A 17-year-old girl emailed her mother inBellevue, saying that she was going to jump off theDeceptionPassBridge. Deputies did not find her there, and she returned home.

5:55 p.m.: Health problem – A doctor at the medical clinic inMount Vernon asked deputies to check on a 53-year-old man onCaledonia Street, La Conner and to advise him to go to the hospital. Deputies gave him a ride to theSkagitValleyHospital.

Thursday Feb 9

5:35 p.m.: Lock fixers – There was a report of a man doing damage to a gate at La Conner Marina. Deputies found that they were maintenance people working on the lock.

9:32 p.m.: Not drugs – There was a call about people doing suspicious things in the parking lot at Pioneer Market in La Conner. Deputies found they were conducting legitimate business.

Friday Feb 10

12:06 a.m.: Oops! – An alarm went off at a business in downtownConway.

11:54 a.m.: Tough talk – An 11-year-old student was making threats at La Conner Middle School. No crime committed and the incident was handled by the school staff.

5:23 p.m.: Phone works – Someone dialed 911 from the pay phone near the public restrooms onFirst Street in La Conner and then hung up. No problem found.

Saturday Feb 11

5:01 a.m.: Not suicidal – A La Conner resident reported that his ex-wife was in town and was suicidal. Deputies found her and learned there was no problem.

7:39 a.m.: Accident – A car drove into a ditch near La Conner Whitney and McLean roads. Nobody was hurt.

10:13 a.m.: Innocent – A 27-year-old woman was accused of shoplifting at Pioneer Market in La Conner, but the suspicion was unfounded.

1:20 p.m.: Got away– Deputies didn’t arrive in time to investigate a car that was reported parked in a fire lane onFirst Street in La Conner. A ticket for parking in a fire lane is $250.

Sunday Feb 12

11:55 a.m.: Lazy exercise – Deputies saw a dog being led on a leash to run alongside a vehicle being driven on N. Third Street in La Conner. The dog owner claimed it was impossible to run fast enough to exercise the animal. The deputies advised the dog owner to find another option.

1:40 p.m.: Dispute – A household on S. Fourth Street, La Conner had a civil problem with a 26-year-old son who lives at home.

Monday Feb 13

5:00 a.m.: Argument – A verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend, 900 blockMaple Avenue, La Conner, did not result in any crime.
