Monday April 10
10:56 a.m.: Civil issue – The prosecutor’s office is looking into whether a woman in La Conner violated a civil anti-harassment court order in a case involving a text message.
Tuesday April 11
9:26 a.m.: Lost wallet – Somebody lost a black bi-fold wallet in the La Conner area.
12:50 p.m.: Found purse – A purse was found on S. 2nd Street in La Conner and was returned to its owner, who is from Oak Harbor.
Thursday April 13
12:27 p.m.: Windy accident – A large semi truck traveling on Fir Island Road near Conway had a lid blow up from the back and it hit a telephone pole. That caused wires to fall on another vehicle. Nobody was hurt.
5:59 p.m.: Speeder – Deputies couldn’t find a white sedan reported to be speeding on Morris Street in La Conner.
8:29 p.m.: No calls – A man who is subject to a no contact order was frustrated because his ex-wife would not allow him to call his kids in La Conner. He was referred to the courts for a possible parenting plan violation.
Friday April 14
9:50 a.m.: No bumming – A coffee shop in Conway asked deputies to remove a guy from their property because he was “bumming cigarettes” off customers. A deputy gave the smokeless fellow a ride home.
1:46 p.m.: Lost sight of her – An 84-year-old man reported that his 85-year-old wife was missing. He had last seen her at the La Conner Pub & Eatery. Deputies searched for her for 30 minutes and eventually located both of them as they were coming out of the tavern together. Everyone was fine.
3:02 p.m.: Catch & release – A 38-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was given a new court date and was released because the jail had no room.
11:34 p.m.: She’s OK – Someone reported that a 44-year-old La Conner woman was suicidal and running toward the water. Deputies found her and determined that she was not suicidal.
Saturday April 15
18:05 p.m.: Slow poke – Deputies couldn’t find the black truck that was slowly swerving along Fir Island Road near Snow Goose Farms.
7:31 p.m.: Not a playground – Kids were reportedly seen playing in a construction site near Pioneer Park in La Conner. They were gone when deputies arrived.
7:43 p.m.: Rude dog – A woman walking her dog in Conway when a man on a bike came by with his pit bull dog, which reportedly was not being controlled. The dog was reportedly aggressive toward the woman, but she wasn’t bitten. An argument ensued between the two dog owners. The pit bull owner was gone when deputies arrived.
Sunday April 16
5:05 a.m.: On the hoof – A small calf made a run for it on Chilberg and Dodge Valley roads, east of La Conner. It was corralled by its owner by the time the posse arrived.
2:27 p.m.: Stay away! – A civil standby was denied for a man who had already been given three “civil standbys” to get his belongings from a La Conner home where he was no longer welcome.
Monday April 17
1:06 a.m.: Abandoned motorhome – Someone appar-ently abandoned a motorhome at a business on Main Street in Conway. The vehicle was tagged to be removed or get towed.
