Monday April 24
3:24 p.m.: Opps! – A resident at the La Conner Retirement Inn misplaced $60. They found the missing money later.
Tuesday April 25
8:30 a.m.: Camping – A homeless man was reported staying on private property with a tent in the Channel Drive area north of La Conner. Deputies asked the man to move along and advised him not to return.
Thursday April 27
7:58 a.m.: False Alarm – Deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the Conway Pub. Everything appeared to be OK.
Friday April 28
5:54 p.m.: Check in – Deputies and fire department crews were dispatched to a residence on Caledonia Street in La Conner. They tended to an elderly woman who had fallen and had difficulty getting back up.
6:20 p.m.: Big ticket! – Deputies responded to a report of a silver car swerving across the road of Maple Avenue in La Conner. The vehicle and driver were located on Rainer Street. The driver had been driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Saturday April 29
1:05 p.m.: Bad idea – A woman was seen shoplifting at Pioneer Market in La Conner, placing items in her handbag. When employees asked her what she had in her bag, she claimed she bought the items from another store. Upon further questioning, she put her bag on the counter, and walked out of the store and never returned. She has been permanently banned from the market under trespass.
1:10 p.m.: Auto theft – A man reported that his pickup truck had been stolen from the Rexville Grocery overnight. The vehicle was later located abandoned and had been in an accident the same night.
Sunday April 30
6:56 a.m.: Hang up – 911 hang up at a residence on Caledonia Street in La Conner.
11:09 p.m.: Check in – A landlord on N. First Street in La Conner contacted deputies about a dog that may have been abandoned on his property. Deputies confirmed that the dog was being cared for and was fine.
4:15 p.m.: Tourists – There were about 20 vehicles parked over the fog line and in the traffic lane on Fir Island Road near Snow Goose Farms. Deputies cleared all the vehicles off the roadway.
