Monday May 1
10:48 p.m.: Noise – Neighbors complained about people on Caledonia Street in La Conner listening to loud music on front porch. They turned it down when asked.
Tuesday May 2
8:31 a.m.: Poop dispute – Neighbors on Third Street in La Conner were in a dispute over a dog that defecates in a neighbor’s yard. Deputies responded and asked both parties to stay away from each other and keep the pets under control.
Wednesday May 3
5:24 p.m.: Rough day – A sailboat ran aground near Goat Island at the south end of the Swinomish Channel. Skagit County Deputies and Skagit Bay Search and Rescue responded and determined that everyone aboard the sailboat was fine. They would wait for high tide to float out.
Thursday May 4
5:12 p.m.: Field trip – A car with a canoe or kayak on top was trespassing in a farm field north of La Conner. The vehicle left before deputies arrived.
8:12 p.m.: Open door – Somebody left a door of a gallery on First Street in La Conner open after hours. Deputies checked to make sure everything was OK and notified the owner and the door was secured.
Friday May 5
10:16 p.m.: Drunk patron – An intoxicated man was reported at a tavern on First Street in La Conner. Deputies responded and 86’d the guy under notice of trespass at the owner’s request.
Saturday May 6
4:08 a.m.: Noisy – There was a report of three or four men slamming doors in the parking lot for the past two hours, 900 block Maple Ave., La Conner. Law enforcement arrived and the problem was resolved.
3:02 p.m.: Fender bender – Nobody hurt when two trucks connected trying to occupy the same space on N. Third Street in La Conner.
Sunday May 7
11:13 a.m.: Just waiting – Deputies were called to check on an elderly gentleman who had been at the Shell station on Highway 20 and La Conner Whitney Road for a long time. Turns out he was just wasting time, not wanting to show up at a friend’s house too early for a meal.
1:43 p.m.: Speed boating – Report of boaters committing wake violations along the La Conner waterfront. Deputies will be watching for that.
3:01 p.m.: Not missing – Deputies received a report of a missing person at the Farmhouse restaurant north of La Conner. Deputies had been in contact with the man earlier, and let the reporting party know he was fine.
10:16 p.m.: Aid call – Someone on Talbott Street in La Conner needed help.
