It got worse

When I learned that the Swinomish Tribe are making an attempt to “reclaim” March Point, I shook my head and thought, “It can’t get any worse.”

Now the Tribe wants to assert jurisdiction over “all persons, subjects, property and activities occurring within… the Tribe’s usual and accustomed fishing grounds and stations and all open and unclaimed lands.” In other words, most of Skagit County.

It just got worse.
