Monday June19

3:20 p.m.: Batty teens – Boys were walking around the back entrance of a church on Fir Island Road, Conway with a baseball bat. Deputies arrived to check on them but were unable to locate the youth.

7:03 p.m.: Multitasker – A “suspicious” man was reported riding a bike while walking his dog on Fir Island Road, Conway. Deputies could not locate the man.

Tuesday June 20

9:58 a.m.: Financial snoop – A person on N. Sixth Street, La Conner received a suspicious call from someone in Texas who claimed that they were investigating a relationship to someone with financial issues.

4:46 p.m.: Distracting – A man was reported to be pacing up and down the sidewalk on Maple Ave. in La Conner and waving his arms around. Deputies checked, but couldn’t find anyone doing that.

Thursday June 22

7:30 a.m.: Big ticket – Deputies stopped a driver on La Conner Whitney and Chilberg roads, La Conner. The driver was cited for having a suspended driver’s license.

12:05 p.m.: Sail away – A theft was reported from Channel Drive, La Conner. A ten-foot boat was taken without permission at some point in the past month.

12:46 p.m.: Boat trouble – A kayaker fell out of a kayak in Deception Pass and was unable to get back in. A good Samaritan rescued the kayaker and took the person to Cornet Bay before law enforcement arrived.

Friday June 23

4:21 a.m.: Truck struck– A truck apparently crossed the centerline and hit another truck on Fir Island Road near Conway. The driver and a passenger from the truck that crossed the center line were taken to a hospital. The driver of the truck that was struck was uninjured.

Saturday June 24

5:33 p.m.: Car bump – A minor fender-bender on Douglas Street, La Conner, in the parking lot at Town Hall. No injuries.

10:56 p.m.: Noisy – A noisy gathering with people talking and music on N. First Street, La Conner was reported.

Sunday June 25

1:08 p.m.: Odd call – A girl dialed 911 from the pay phone by the public restrooms on S. First Street, La Conner. Dispatch called the pay phone back and a man answered, who said his daughter called on the phone to “test the phone out.” Deputies arrived but found no one on site.

6:03 p.m.: Missing cat – A tabby cat was reported missing from Maple Ave., La Conner.
