New lights

I just want to thank John Doyle for working to improve the efficiency of our town lighting by obtaining the grant to install LEDs.

In addition to the efficiency, It’s wonderful to have direc-tional lighting that reduces the light pollution to our night skies created by the older lights. I think it’s a decent compromise for those who want town lit up, vs. those of us who prefer less light pollution. Not as nice as if we had sidewalk-only lighting, in my opinion, but I will happily embrace anything that offers me the chance to better see meteor showers from my backyard.
