3:31 a.m.: Need my coffee – A person was laying down outside of the Shell station on La Conner Whitney Rd and Hwy. 20, waiting for it to open so they could get some coffee.
5:28 a.m.: Loud cough – Report of a possible domestic disturbance on the 900 block of maple turned out just to be a resident who was just coughing loudly due to an illness.
8:35 p.m.: Legal and loud – Reports of loud fireworks on the fourth of July on Maple Avenue, La Conner were determined to be legal.
8:37 p.m.: Furry friend found – Someone found a small terrier-type dog on Myrtle Street, La Conner.
8:40 p.m.: Oopsies – A child playing with a phone on First Street, La Conner called 911.
9:24 p.m. Busted window – Someone’s vehicle window had been damaged on Moore Road, Conway.
Wednesday July 5
7:50 a.m.: Found & Lost – Deputies discovered a lost cell phone in La Conner, only to have the owner later call 911 to report it. The phone and owner were reunited.
2:54 p.m.: Parked – A vehicle had been parked in front of a residence on Tillinghast Drive, La Conner for months. Deputies tried to contact the registered owner and notified town code enforcement.
Thursday July 6
11:17 a.m.: Licensing issue – An out-of-state visitor requested assistance with a department of licensing issue, also out-of-state.
12:13 p.m.: False alarm – Deputies responded to a house alarm on Whatcom Street, La Conner, and determined there was no problem.
2:11 p.m.: Soaked shotgun – Someone found an old shotgun in Campbell lake and turned it over to the deputies for safe keeping.
6:00 p.m.: Traffic hazard – A immobile vehicle was reported at Rainbow Bridge but officers were unable to locate it.
Friday July 7
4:14 p.m.: Renter problems – A man took issue with his tenants in Bayview, and deputies gave him information on the eviction process.
Saturday July 8
2:24 p.m.: Roommate rustle – Deputies responded to a verbal argument between roommates on Bayview Road, Bayview, which resulted in one being taken into custody due to outstanding warrants.
4:27 p.m.: Theft thwarted – A vehicle was reported stolen on Farm to Market Road, Bayview, deputies arrived to the scene and located the vehicle, which the thief then drove away. The vehicle was found in Anacortes. Police later located the driver, who had ditched the vehicle on foot, and took him into custody.
6:17 p.m.: Garage dispute – Tenant reported their landlord entering the garage on Rawlins Road, Conway, but the landlord said the lease was only for the house and not the garage.
7:37 p.m.: Ride home – An employee at Pioneer Market, La Conner was reported acting strange. Deputies determined he was intoxicated and drove him home.
10:47 p.m.: Belated booming – Fireworks reported were determined to be from the firework show at Skagit Speedway; another report of fireworks was also called in on Nookachamp Hills Drive, but deputies were unable to locate anything.
Sunday July 9
7:54 a.m.: Road block – A car was reported partially parked in a roadway on Valentine Road. Deputies found one of the passengers had an outstanding bench warrant.
