Your independent hometown award-winning newspaper
Dear citizens of LaConner:
The Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps, staff and members of the board of directors offer our sincere gratitude for the use of LaConner Schools facilities, the great publicity received for our endeavors and the outpouring of friendship exhibited by the standing-room-only crowd at our preview performance July 2.
We enjoyed our two-and-a-half weeks in your community and hope you appreciated having us here. We worked hard to prepare our show, “What Goes Around” for our national tour and enjoyed presenting it to you in the form of our dress rehearsal.
All too often we are presented with negative images of youth. On the contrary – we embody the best that our youth has to offer. Specifically, the Cascades empowers young people with opportunities to grow through transformative educational experiences in the arts, which includes developing leadership skills, expressing members creative powers, enhancing life skills to become productive, outstanding members of society, learning what it means to achieve excellence and providing an outlet to perform artistically at the highest possible level.
We are a family and hope that shows in our demeanor, our work ethic and our performance.
Thank you again, LaConner.
Sincerely,
Dave Haining
PR/Marketing Director
