JANET HUSTON

March 31, 1933 – July 16, 2018

Blending her passion for art with a keen sense of business, Janet was best known as the owner of the Huston Gallery in La Conner, Washington. Here, she wisely used her knowledge of the art of the northwest and her creative spirit to produce exhibitions for the regions most celebrated artists. With a Master’s Degree in Painting from the University of Washington, Janet enjoyed creating her own paintings depicting the place she loved most, the Skagit Valley.

Janet passed away peacefully at Skagit Valley Hospital on July 16, 2018. A sincere thank you must be given to the staffs of Home Place Memory Care and Skagit Valley Hospital for the loving care she received in her final days.

Per Janet’s directive, there will be no service. Suggested memorials include: The Museum of Northwest Art (PO Box 969, La Conner, WA 98257) and The La Conner School District Scholarship Foundation (PO Box 1277, La Conner, WA 98257). Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon.
