Mark Eisen passed away on July 21, 2018, his 66th birthday, at his home after an extended illness.
Mark was born on July 21, 1952 to Vincent and Augusta Eisen. He spent his childhood in La Conner, graduating from La Conner High School in 1970. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Edwards AFB, California, he met and married his wife Debra in 1973. The couple recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Mark moved his family back to La Conner in 1982.
Mark was very handy and a skilled mechanic. He spent his working life utilizing those skills. Mark retired as the maintenance foreman for the Shelter Bay Community in 2016. In his spare time, he loved fishing and gardening. He was well known in town for having the tallest Indian corn around!
Mark was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his wife Debra and loving dog Shay at the family home, daughter Heidi Lyons (David), grandson Jordan Lyons, and granddaughter Kaylie Lyons, sisters Patricia Clausen (Chuck), Jean Kolb, and Debbie Malcolm (Kit), brothers Paul Eisen (Margaret), Vincent Eisen, and John Eisen (Karen) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 12-5pm at the Shelter Bay Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Hospice of the Northwest, 227 Freeway Drive, Suite A, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
