Help with bike, walker count

Dear Readers:

It is time for the 2018 Bicycle and Pedestrian Count. We are looking for volunteers wanting to help collect useful data about non-motorized transportation – and how lucky we are to live in a place where we can enjoy walking and biking so pleasantly.

The Washington State Department of Transportation and the Cascade Bicycle Club are recruiting volunteers at multiple locations across the county as part of a statewide count. Each site needs to be counted twice – once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The morning and afternoon could be on different days – as long as it is within the dates of Sept. 25 to 27.

Details at https://bikepedcount.wsdot.wa.gov. So, if you see us with clipboards lingering in our car watching people on the corner of 6th and Morris one of those days, wave! Lots of great spots to choose from (including the post office)! I will post some little green and white posters around town today.

Cheers,

Linda Talman
