Steven was born in Mount Vernon, Washington to A. Vernon “Pogey” Paulson and Annie E. (Kane) Paulson on December 13, 1945 and passed away on October 4, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington. He attended school in La Conner, Washington for the first grade. His family moved to Seattle where he attended Our Lady of the Lake, Nathan Eckstein, Roosevelt High School, Edison Tech and Shoreline Community College. Steven is survived by his sister, Nancy Kay Dieringer; brother-in-law, Jim Dieringer, Jr, of Fairbanks, Alaska; nephews, Jim Dieringer III and Jeff Dieringer; niece Deanna Dieringer, all of Fairbanks, AK; great nephews, Derrick Dieringer and Steven Dieringer (his namesake); great nieces Sydney Dieringer and Jamie Naglich (Adam); great -great nieces Ava, Harper and Payton of Las Vegas Nevada.
Steven was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Annie Paulson; grandparents Olaf and Anna Paulson and John and Teresa Kane; uncle Claude Paulson (Thelma) his cousins and many dear, lifelong friends, “You know who you are”.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, 17666 Valentine Road, Mount Vernon, WA 98273, with Father Tom McMichael presiding.
