The ongoing lesson that all of us need to keep in mind, even if we learned it long ago, is that life is complex. Its complexity takes a long time to figure out. That is why we have schools. Schooling cost money. Good schooling, with the administrators, teachers, computers, curricula, buses and food, requires a whole lot of money.
Greater La Conner residents are fortunate that their “team school” believes in this place we all call home as much as the pioneers and natives do. Everyone working for the school district is dedicated to providing the best education they can for our children. Now they are asking the district’s voters to pay to keep our –your—schools great.
Your vote for the school levy is your vote for keeping La Conner great, again. Your vote for the levy is your investment in the future these students will bring to us into very soon. We need them, well, educated. Their future –and ours—for the purpose of the ballot in your mailbox, which you will mark and return by Feb. 12 – is up to you.
