Biden endorsement a mistake

[This response to Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan’s endorsement of Biden for president was published in the Seattle Times March 7—ed.]

Mayor Durkan:

I was disappointed to see you “jumped on the Biden bandwagon.” Be careful what you wish for!

As of Super Tuesday, there have only been about one-third of the delegates allocated for the Democratic National Convention, and yet the compliant establishment Democratic candidates rushed to endorse Biden, thus likely guaranteeing another four years of Trump – if you agree with the Op-Eds linked here:

https://www.truthdig.com/articles/biden-would-be-just-the-challenger-for-trump/

Please take the time to read the links, which in my opinion contain compelling reasons why Biden is not the guy.

In the meantime, the planet continues to warm and the sea levels rise.

I’m an “anybody but Trump” advocate, but we must do better than Biden!

P.S. Seattle’s homeless crisis is 40-plus years in the making, and if you examine the root cause: income inequality [neoliberalism] Sanders or Warren would stand a better chance of addressing this crisis than centrist Democrats who are more concerned with their stock portfolios.

Best regards and thanks for your time,

Bill Allen
